He Became A Man

HE BECAME A MAN - Steve Fry

1) If I had been the one to send the Savior to the earth,
I’d given him a palace and arranged a noble birth.
All the world would recognize He was divine…
There would be no greater king that you could find.

2) He would have been surrounded by, some influential friends.
I’d given Him prestige and wealth, adored by every one
He would use His power to show He was God,
And bring justice to the nations with His love…

Chorus
But He became a man for me.
In spite of deity, to meet my every need,
And all the hurt I ever knew, Jesus Christ went through,
To life his life through me.

3) In the silence of the night a little baby came
No one then could have known,
That the world would never be the same…

4) Born on this, the straw and down of a lowly cattle stall,
Not hailed by kings, but worshipped by a shepherd’s simple song
This tiny little babe of destiny,
Would be the greatest power the world will see…

Chorus
He became a man for me
In spite of deity, to meet my every need
And all the hurt I ever knew, Jesus Christ went through,
To life his life through me
