Just another Tuesday, don’t know who ran
Some bill passed, I am a Patriots fan.
I take to the skies, I take to the lies
I take to the fries, all for freedom.
I give to the church, I give to the state
I give with the weight, all for freedom.
I talk on the net, I see black-and-white
I dress to the left, I vote to the right
I buy by the pound, I shave wet and dry
I’m contractually bound to consume item buy.
I’m quick on the draw, and numb to the touch
Can’t think anymore cause it hurts too much
Don’t look too close because you’re likely to find
That I don’t mind, that I don’t mind.
I’m American.
I make a mess, I make a scene
I may confess, but only if it’s on TV.
I spent my youth, I spent my dough
I’ll spend the night but not a second more.
My second mortgage is a lot, I’m frightened by my trash
I pray to the gods will take my cash.
I creep through the lights, I write off my cars
I mess around with crystal and tryst till I see stars.
I black out a little from white little pills
My gray matter doesn’t, I read that it kills
I blew off my finals for greener climbs
I yell enough to case the joint for violent crimes
I hate to listen! I hate the other way!
I hate who they tell me to, but who the hell are they!?
I support the research of DNA if it keeps my future child from being gay
I hate to sound inclusive but I love to say
I’m American.
Just like you!
I’m American.
I get the truth, I get the foe
I get to fight, but I forget what for.
So I’ll fight the wear and tear of the unspecific terror
And die before I defeating the corporal unknowns
And my corpse lies in a grave my corporation owns
But this land is my land, I can feel it in my bones.
I’m American.
I’m American!
I’m American!
Just another Tuesday, don’t know who ran
If anybody asks… I was a Patriots fan.
