Introductory Remarks (feat. Misha Collins)

Brendan Hughes

Well, good evening, this is Misha Collins. But please allow me to congratulate you on unwrapping your purchase of the Pizzicato Effect, the debut comedy album from Brendan Hughes. On June 26, 2012 Hughes strode onto the boards of the Ars Nova stage near the intersection of 54th Street and 10th Avenue on the quaint pastoral island of Manhattan. “Tonight you will witness and F-students attempt to double-click on the universe.” There he attempted to answer three questions of profound ontological significance, famously posed by Paul Goghan, “‘where we come from, why we’re here, and what happens when we die’ - and I happen to have rock solid answers to all three of those questions.” Addressing his audience as Brendialites, Hughes used diagrams, theories, and preposterous arcana to lay forth his case, “If you will measure your life before and after this night, there may be a crack in the earth's crust running...” You can see the visuals from his act at thepizzicatoeffect.com. “To begin, where do we come from..‽” And now, in no particular order, here is the Pizzicato Effect.
