Aunt Loudell

The Tucker Brothers

Aunt Loudell, used to run a motel.
She lived in that motel room all her days.
Aunt Loudell, had a man named Uncle Cell.
He was old and kind of sickly in his ways.

And that's about all I knew.
'Bout old Cell and Lou.
But they done me well,
so I never found no fault with Lou & Cell.

We lived in the Chattahoochee Valley.
Loudell lived on Opelika hill.
Aunt Loudell, used to run that motel,
and everybody else worked in the mill.

And that's about all I knew.
'Bout old Cell and Lou.
But they done me well,
so I never found no fault with Lou & Cell.

Some people came to make a movie,
called Norma Rae, and Cell was in a scene.
Aunt Loudell ran that Golden Cherry,
and that name was splashed across the silver screen.

And that's about all I knew.
'Bout old Cell and Lou.
But they done me well,
so I never found no fault with Lou & Cell.

My people did not like that movie, they said
"Union, that's a dirty word!"
But that did not bother Cell & Loudell.
They carried on just like they never heard.

And that's about all I knew.
'Bout old Cell and Lou.
But they done me well,
so I never found no fault with Lou & Cell.
