When I first saw your face
and your pretty green eyes
well I knew I had to have you
no matter what the price
Things were great for the short time
that we shared
but girl you know its true
what you did just ain't fair
Well let me say this
before I go to far
I'm going to miss you
but I'm going to the bar
'Cause the whiskey is my new best friend
good ole Evan Williams I'm glad I found you again
in the time we had girl
things were right
but I find myself sitting here tonight
with whiskey as my new best friend
yeah
You told me you'd never stray
I believed it up until the day
a text of all things
just letting me know things weren't workin'
and well you got to go
Girl have fun and have a good life
I hope things for you turn out alright
as for me I'm here with my buddies
all were doing is a chuggin and a chuggin
Whiskey is my new best friend
good ole Evan Williams I'm glad I found you again
in the time we had girl
things were right
but I find myself sitting here tonight
with whiskey as my new best friend yeah
set em up boys
Well girl I got to thank you
for opening my eyes
if there is one thing you did for me
you helped me realize
girls are nothin' but trouble
but it ain't that way with liquor
and tonight will be the night of my life
I never will remember
Whiskey is my new best friend
good ole Jack Daniels it's great to see you again
in the time we had girl
things were right
but I find myself sitting here tonight
with whiskey as my new best friend
Whiskey is my new best friend
good ole Jim Beam it's great to see you again
in the time we had girl
things were right
but I find myself sitting here tonight
with whiskey as my new best friend
whiskey is my new best friend
ha ha ha
