Drivin' my machine down I-19 with lovin’ on my mind
In order to cross the boarder to see Alice and unwind
Mexico’s the place to go to soothe the wearied soul
Workin’ every day wastes my life away and really takes its toll
The days are hard the nights are long when she ain’t by my side
I’ve been savin’ all my pesos to make that gal my bride
Today I’ll bring her back with me to share my little palace
But for now I’m goin’ south to see Alice in Nogales
