Down the cliff again

But it’s me instead

I’m on the rocks

I thought I’d find you by now

Bury me deep between your neck and where your hair begins

Snow storm, expose

Your silky neck and reflect

Your heavenly repose

No one understood the things you did

No one ever read the poems I wrote

You press it down and capture various

Smiles and frowns

I froze I suppose

I was staring too long anyway

You close me in

Every time you begin again

You close your eyes and lock me out

Their oceans crystallise

You melt me out

But I won’t drown this time around.
