For the beauty of the Black Hills would astound and fade away

And pilgrim, though your traveled far, say a prayer, gaze at the starts

It's holy land that you stand on, so hit the trail and be gone

Hit the trail and be goneI am a pilgrim on my way, I looked for God out on the plains

Though I cannot find him still, I think he's closer in the hills

Can I ever really own it with their blood upon my hands
