Hey pretty baby, have you heard the news?

Somebody stepped upon my blue suede shoes

They said they were sorry and as you can see

I took it all in my stride, but when they said

"Is there something we can do?", I of course repliedI went to my doctor just the other day

I said, "Listen Doc, are you feeling okay?"

I told him to lie down on his couch and that I would look inside

But when he began to hurl abuse, I of course repliedAs you might well have heard

And as from today

Not only have women equal rights

Now they also have equal payThey said, "Run along now, there's a good chap"

So I pushed them to one side
