I had written this for my husband on our wedding day in 2004 and used our first daughter (Lula's) in utero heartbeat for percussion in the beginning and end of this song, It took on a whole different meaning when we had our second daughter (Mimi) in March of 2008. I dedicate this song still to the father of our children bur most importantly to Lula and Mimi I had Mary Chapin Carpenter singing harmonies on this,
