Everything went to the back of my mind when I opened the door
And I left the hot iron on the ironing board
And I thought it would be nice of you to help me along
I was stuck in a rut and my patience was gone
I lost track of time there was steam all around
So I opened up the windows just to cool it down
No it’s really hard to focus with your head in the clouds
Why couldn’t it last all day
Left me alone on the floor
With my head in my hands and my eyes on the door
