I fell off the stool at Charlie’s last night, I made everyone mad.
Lately standing’s been a little harder for me, I’m so like a balancing act.
I drove by your place today, I wanted so bad to stop and say……..
I can’t hold a job down, and wipe off this big frown and though I try, I can’t hide the truth.
And when I drink, I drink it all up, and I can’t drown all the bad luck, there’s a lot of things I can’t do.
When I lay down at night, I can get one thing right….I’m still good at crying over you.
Only a fool would keep hanging on, ‘cause it’s been such a long time.
