Taylor
Written by Karl Bailey
Taylor walked down to the river and jumped right in.
Said, “I wanna sink, I don’t wanna swim”.
One day she said that she just couldn’t take no more.
And she stood right up and walked out the door.
Stood right up.
Taylor was hip Taylor was cool.
She wouldn’t let nobody, make her into a fool.
She could be quaint she could be coy.
But she wasn’t never, ever gonna give her heart to just any boy.
You might say I knew her, knew her well.
She could make you believe in Heaven and Hell
I tried to tell her just how I felt
But when I looked in her eyes, my words would melt.
When I looked in her eyes, my words would melt.
Taylor bought herself a beat-up car and filled it with friends.
She’d drive and drive and drive and drive until the road would end
Traded it in on a bike with training wheels
Said now she understand just how the road feels
Chorus
Repeat 1st verse
