The stomach muscles crush
The food - digestion does its work
It turns into a slush(repeat)
The small intestine carries it
The liver adds its bile
It travels past the villi
And stays there quite a while(repeat)
The Nutrients - they get absorbed
The blood takes them away
The food continues traveling
The colon leads the way(repeat)
There's not much left to the food you ate
It's concentrated waste
It travels to the rectum
And there it is displaced(repeat)
Digestion breaks - all the food you eat
And blood brings glucose to your cells'
