I got in town a month ago
I headed in like some old ghost
I met a lot of friends I'm glad I found
from the Yucatan of Mexico
we set to sail the eastern shore
then rode the gale's until we came aboutand missing things is not the same
when your out here on the wind
and things don't happen like the way
they did way back then
at times I'd like to drop you a line
when the days go end on end
you wait to toss an anchor when you canI spent time on an endless beach
I watched the dolphins swim the sea's
I climbed to Machu Picchu in Peru
wandered an uncharted isle
where folks take pride and always smile
and I'm losing all those memories of youand missing things is not the same
when your out here on the wind
and things don't happen like the way
they did way back then
