Amidst the mud, the rats, the blood, they fought,
they, bled, they died
A century has passed but their memories last
So we, wear poppies with pride
We wear poppies for the soldiers marines n’ sailors
for the fliers that fought in the skies
Poppies bloom blood-red in fields of long gone dead
They grow where so many lie
Wear your poppy with pride
For the many that gave their lives
November eleven they watch from heaven
As we ...........wear our poppies with pride.
There’s a war being fought for freedom
The right to live the way we choose
We must never forget that blood-filled-debt
Or this war.................we’ll sadly lose
Wear your poppy for the Coast-Guard
For our lawmen and Women in Blue
For our children and their children’s children
So they can wear their poppies too
So wear your poppy with pride
For the many that gave their lives
