Bubble Gum and Braces Lyrics

The little girl that lived next door
I didn't know her name
Bubble gum and braces
were her only claims to fame
She wore a floppy mop of hair
I never saw her face
All I saw were giant bubbles
A shiny dental brace
Bubble gum and braces
Won't you please go home to play?
I didn't like the girl next door
But that was yesterday
Now I'll believe in fairy tales
until the day I die
In magic wands and witches spells
And let me tell you why

That girl next door's a lovely sight
A thing of beauty overnight
So all at once, so, can it be
That I was blind and could not see?
Now if you know a girl next door
Don't give her extra sorrow
Cause she may weave that magic spell
And break your heart tomorrow.
Bubble gum and braces
Won't you please go home to play?
I didn't like the girl next door
But that was yesterday
Bubble gum and braces
Won't you please go home to play?
I didn't like the girl next door
But that was yesterday
