NMB48 (or Namba48) is a all-female Japanese theater and idol group produced by Akimoto Yasushi. It perform regularly in the NMB48 Theater in Namba, Osaka. The group belongs to Kyoraku Yoshimoto Holdings Co., Ltd., a joint corporation of Yoshimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Kyoraku Sangyo Co., Ltd. On 10 July 2010, AKB48 first announced that they will be forming a second sister national group and that this new group will be based in Namba, Japan.
