#1 Zero Lyrics

Listen now and let me speak
I will be the dog at your feet
Come along when you call
Be the little bird in your straw
And sing you a songI'll be there to take the fall
Though you tread upon me
For no reason at allBut just when you think you've left me blind
Well, I'll need to
Yeah, I will keep you in the corner of my eye
The corner of my eyeI will never leave your side
Though you call me your number one zero
You never mind, I'll be your king, I'll be your pawn
I will build a pedestal and put you upon it, babyJust when you think you've left me blind
I will be creeping right up behind
'Cause maybe if I need to, yeah
I will keep you in the corner of my eyeYeahDown on the street, over your night
Out of your sleep, out of your sight
If I need to, yeah, if I need toOut of your mouth in every word

Down in your ego one thing is sure
I will keep you, I will keep youOh, just when you think you've left me blind
I will be creeping right up behind
'Cause baby if I need to
Lord, I will keep you in the corner of my eye
Corner of my eyeI will be the bird in your straw
But you won't get far
I will keep you in the corner of my eye

Audioslave was an American hard rock supergroup that formed in Los Angeles, CA in 2001. It consisted of Soundgarden frontman and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell and the former instrumentalists of Rage Against the Machine: Tom Morello (lead guitar), Tim Commerford (bass and backing vocals) and Brad Wilk (drums).

Audioslave released three successful albums, received three Grammy nominations, sold more than eight million records worldwide, and became the first American rock band to perform an open-air concert in Cuba. Cornell issued a statement in February 2007 that he was permanently leaving the band "due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences." As the other three members were busy with the Rage Against the Machine reunion, and Morello and Cornell had each released solo albums in 2007, Audioslave was officially disbanded.
