2 Dreams I Had Lyrics

Today I walked past some flowers
And for the first time in four years, they smelled as beautiful as they did before you were gone
Two dreams have told me you've moved on
From that boring place
Where you had to work it all out
Before you moved on
This never happened to me and I don't know what you did wrong
The sixty-three dollars feels like a million in tears
Ba da ba ba ba
Ba da ba ba ba
Why am I so sad, I'm sadder
Than before, maybe its cause I know you can't come back
Even though you never could
Two dreams have told me you've moved on
From that boring place
Where you had to work it all out
Before you moved on
This never happened to me and I don't know what you did wrong

The sixty-three dollars feels like a million in tears
Ba da ba ba ba
Ba da ba ba ba
This never happened to me and I don't know what you did wrong
The sixty-three dollars feels like a million in tears
Ba da ba ba ba
Ba da ba ba ba
Ba da ba ba ba
Ba da ba ba ba

Joy Zipper is an indie pop duo from Long Island, New York, made up of Tabitha Tindale and Vincent Cafiso. Partners in songwriting, as well as in real life, the duo have been crafting summery, ethereal dream pop since the late 1990s. The band is named for Tindale's mother. Their songs are underpinned with darker scarred lyrics (suggested in interviews to have been inspired by the death of Cafiso's father) causing them to be famously compared to, 'a candy apple with a razor blade inside'.
