Lopside is the solo effort of Dean Hinds, a Los Angeles based musician. The Lopside myspace page describes the project as: "a profusion of synthesizers, guitars, and wordless vocals run through a blender of effects pedals and mashed together with some beats. the high society of lo-fi." In addition, Hinds is the bassist in a progressive surf post-rock band called The Ghosts of Searchlight, also based in Los Angeles.
