The original members of Pasărea Colibri were all important names on the Romanian folk scene. Mircea Baniciu was the lead vocal of Phoenix, one of the most successful Romanian folk-rock bands, and considered to be a very talented singer. Mircea Vintila was a successful folk singer, renowned for his light, smooth voice and overall good taste of his performance. Vlady Cnejevici was considered to be the most talented keyboard player in Romania.
