21C Lyrics

Living in the twenty-first century
Where the money takes time and the worry comes free
I've been sitting in a room of hopes and dreams
With my mobile phone and my widescreen TV
See, I woke up in a world with a chip on its shoulder
A week went by, I was ten years older
And now I'm stuck in a role I don't wanna play
Where the nights take days and the months are all the same
And there's a question in my brainSee, I don't wanna say it's broke
I'm just saying we could fix it
How many light bulbs does it take to change a man?
Living in the twenty-first century
Haven't got a clue who I'm supposed to be
I'll vote for you if you vote for me
So set me free
From the twenty-first centuryI got stuck inside a computer screen
Gonna close my eyes and count to three (hundred)
'Cause the choices keep my mind awake

Not the roads we took, but the ones we didn't take
And there's a bug inside my brainSee, I don't wanna say it's broke
I'm just saying we should fix it
How many light bulbs does it take to change a man?Living in the twenty-first century
Haven't got a clue who I'm supposed to be
I'll vote for you if you vote for me
So set me free
From the twenty-first century
[This week has been mired in controversy
And allegations of corruption
With secret documents leaked
Controlling a covert fund of five billion dollars
To buy support and influence
I am declined to comment on...](How many light bulbs does it take to change a man?)Living in the twenty-first century
Got no idea what it's supposed to be
I'll stick by you if you stick by me
So set me free
From the twenty-first century
