Eve

There are four artists who use this name:
1. A female rapper from the United States
2. A rock band from Korea
3. A pop trio from Japan
4. a singer from Finland
5. A visual kei band from Japan (イヴ)

1. Eve (born Eve Jihan Jeffers on November 10, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American rapper, singer, and actress associated with the Aftermath crew.

She adopted the name Gangsta in high school as part of an all-female group called EDGP (pronounced Egypt), and eventually went solo as Eve of Destruction.

After a period of working as a stripper, Eve returned to hip-hop at the encouragement of rap superstar Ma$e; she recorded "Eve of Destruction", which appeared on the soundtrack to Bulworth in 1998. Her label, Aftermath Records, found itself in financial trouble and Eve was soon without a record contract. She had, however, befriended DMX and appeared on a remix of his hit single "Ruff Ryders Anthem" from his multi platinum selling debut album, It's Dark and Hell is Hot, along with other Ruff Ryders' compilations. Her next single, "What Ya Want", featuring Nokio of Dru Hill, soon became a hit, and she collaborated with The Roots, Blackstreet and Janet Jackson, which further expanded her fan base. Her 1999 debut, Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders First Lady, was an unprecedented success, becoming the second hip-hop album by a woman to enter the Billboard 200 at #1 (the first was by Brooklyn rapper, Foxy Brown).

2. EVE is also a Korean rock band formed in 1998. Led by vocalist Kim Seheon, throughout their many member changes, they have released a total of 11 albums including three best-of albums and one DVD. Guitarist Ha Sebin from K-rock band Nemesis was briefly part of EVE and produced the track 'Goodbye' (sEVEnth evening version). The band had broken up in 2007, but rumors are floating around that Seheon is working with former guitarist Sebin on new material.

3. EVE also refers to a Japanese pop trio. Leona, Clara and Lilika are three sisters who first debuted as "Apples" in 1976. They were quickly recognized as a great talent, and where hired to perform backup for some of the most important idols of the 80s. Those idols include Akina Nakamori, Kyoko Koizumi, Naoko kawaii, folk-legend Miyuki Nakajima, Yu Hayami, and Miho Nakayama. The three sisters were the darlings of the music industry, and almost exclusively sang in English.

4. Eve (Jarkko Eve) is a singer from Finland
