3rd World War Lyrics

We'll come home when the battle's over
We'll come home with clothes all drenched in blood
This is the life we chose
This is how the story goes
For those who fight in the 3rd world warIt's us against the world today
You know, could go on forever
(Forever)
Pollute our minds with what they say
You gotta run alone but I know it ain't so
(Ain't so)
We can have it our own way
But we gotta learn to work together
(Together)I see them capitalizing on other peoples woes
I see them on the streets and everywhere I goWe'll come home when the battle's over
We'll come home with clothes all drenched in blood
This is the life we chose
This is how the story goes
For those who fight in the 3rd world warYou try to understand everything we say

You try to analyze everything we do
Ask me what it is that we're fighting for
It's for freedom that we fight the 3rd world warLiving in the world today
I see that things could be much better
(Better)
But I'm never gonna give up
Not gonna lay my head down, no never
(Never)
You live your life for just one day
The faceless never remembered
(Remembered)I see them capitalizing on other people's woes
I see them on the streets and everywhere I goWe'll come home when the battle's over
We'll come home with clothes all drenched in blood
This is the life we chose
This is how the story goes
For those who fight in the 3rd world war

The Briggs, started off and were known as the band, I Decline. They released an album called "Spy On Your Neighbors", but due to legal action by another band they had to change the band name. Thus was born, The Briggs, who are a punk rock band based out of Los Angeles, California. Fronted by brothers Joey and Jason LaRocca, this band draws from a variety of influences, but most noteably from the likes of UK artists such as The Clash, Cock Sparrer, Stiff Little Fingers, and Billy Bragg.
