4 tha Ghetto Lyrics

no disrespect Deborah Ann
you raised your boy well
just gotta give this one up to the hood thoughyou lift me up
when i'm feeling down
we had it bad from the start but i fell in love with you somehow
i'll never forget all the times we had
without you i wouldn't be the man that i amyou kept me safe in a place with no hope and shattered dreams
i couldn't see but you gave me a chance to believe
and none can take that from meyou lift me up
and i'm ready now
time to hit the road your boy is gonna make you proudI'll do this one for the ghetto
one for the ghetto
no i'll never let go gotta let em know
your the one that raised me
i'm so glad you made me
made me who i am
so i'll do this one for the ghetto
one for the ghetto

no i'll never let go gotta let em know
everywhere i go i'm making sure they know
i do it all for the ghettosquaretown, north end, hali hoods, north preston, the connections
and all my ghettos round the worldnow rise and shine
let's get on our way
i open my eyes take a breathe and give thanks to a new day
my will is strong and i got more then just a lil faith
and with every lesson that i've learend
there's nothing i can't face
you kept me safe in a place with no hope and shattered dreams
i couldn't see but you gave me a chance to believe
and none can take that from meyou lift me up
and that will never change
you were there for me
and thins is something that i have to sayI'll do this one for the ghetto
one for the ghetto
no i'll never let go gotta let em know
your the one that raised me
i'm so glad you made me
made me who i am
so i'll do this one for the ghetto
one for the ghetto
no i'll never let go gotta let em know
everywhere i go i'm making sure they know
i do it all for the ghettomy family my streets yea that's where i come from
i'm doing for them cause they made me the one
i'll chase all our dreams i won't stop til it's done
i got you don't worry i'm doing this oneI'll do this one for the ghetto
one for the ghetto
no i'll never let go gotta let em know
your the one that raised me
i'm so glad you made me
made me who i am
so i'll do this one for the ghetto
one for the ghetto
no i'll never let go gotta let em know
everywhere i go i'm making sure they know
i do it all for the ghetto

Emerging Canadian R&B/hip-hop star Jordan Croucher is making up for a late start in his music career in a big way with the soulful songs from his forthcoming second album. Croucher grew up in Halifax and Toronto and, even though it was evident that the youngster had an excellent voice, music took a back seat to basketball in high school and at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia — which led to a year playing professionally in France.
