4th Of December Lyrics

Unfortunate ending
(4th of December)Sandpapered room
(Tired from the travel)Forces unending,
You said you would believeIn my foreign years
I try to remember
(Wasted time of year)And her foreign years
Spent haunted by the gutters of him
(Speaking 'til there's nothing left to say)4th of December
(Unfortunate ending)Afternoon room
(Afternoon's forever,
stories ending now)Held from a distance, you said:
"I can't believe"In my foreign years
I try to remember
(Wasted time of year)And her foreign years
Spent haunted by the gutters of him
(Speaking 'til there's nothing left to say...)And her foreign years
X is the reason
(Speaking 'til there's nothing left to tell)I believed, you said that's all you need

And I believed, you said that's all you need
And I believed, you said that's all you need
And I believed, you said that's all you need
And I believed, you said that's all you need
And I believed, you said that's all you needIn my foreign years
I try to remember
(Wasted time again)And her foreign years
Spent haunted by the gutters of him
(Speaking 'til there's nothing left to say)Do you believe in the sound of the sea?
(If you think you could do without him, why don't you try, again?)
Do you believe in the sound of the sea?
(If you think you could do without him, why don't you try, again?)
Do you believe in the sound of the sea?
(If you think you could do without him, why don't you try, again?)In my foreign years
X is the reason
(Speaking 'til there's nothing left to say)

Motion City Soundtrack is a pop-punk band which includes members Joshua Cain (guitar), Tony Thaxton (drums), Justin Pierre (vocals/guitar), Jesse Johnson (Moog), and Matthew Taylor (bass). Following their high-school graduation, Minneapolis, MN natives Pierre and Cain -- both of whom were inspired by Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, The Flaming Lips, and Superchunk -- formed the band in 1999. The pair assembled a temporary lineup and issued a self-released 7" that same year.
