The name “Doughski G” was initially given as a joke to mean ‘Doughski Woski’ but once he began to move units in the city the name stuck with the general street population.
Born in Inglewood, CA growing up Lawrence Jacques 3rd was a rollercoaster ride of triumph. Son to a drug dealing father and a drug using mother, Cruzan breed Doughski G found himself facing the realities of harsh life at an early age moving into the Marley & Safarelli projects in the Virgin Islands. “Roses are red, Cruzan’s are brown that’s my race so don't put it down!! My Cruzan pride I will not hide, My Cruzan race I will not disgrace, My Cruzan blood flows hot & true and My Cruzan people I will stand by you through thick & thin till the day we die. Our Virgin Island flag always stand high!” ‘This is a poem that I will yell, remember and live by forever says Doughski G’

In 1996 Doughski G was able move into the metroplex of Dallas-Forth, TX and began his passion of Hip Hop/ Rap music. Recording music with the TMA Boys, Doughski G began to later perfect his craft creating a buzz in the Dallas- Forth Worth market. His first project would be put out with the TMA Boys called ‘TMA N DOUGH; Da Grind’. While, performing, promoting, and setting up his own shows, Doughski G would always cross paths with Dallas rap veterans Mr. Pookie and Mr. Lucci of Stony Crook Records. Whether it was networking at shows or in the neighborhood traps, a bond was formed that would change the music life of Doughski G for knowledge and success. Now on the road opening and featuring songs for Mr. Pookie & Mr. Lucci, The name Doughski G started to spread beyond the city of Dallas, TX. He was first featured on Mr. Lucci's underground album ‘My Testimony’ on a song called ‘It’s a Joke to Me’ which would later grab the attention of radio rotation.

In August 2007 Doughski G felt it was time to start his own company Blue Smoke Music to better brand his name, his movement and creative art. Big Doughski G has put out four mixtapes pushing over 20,000 copies. One mixtape being the”Stony Crook Fam” mixtape that featured the entire North Dallas Movement and the current being the attention grabbing mixtape “Just Feel Me Bro’ which dropped on his Blue Smoke Music label. The singles “I Smell it” and She Baad” are currently in rotation with the streets, clubs and radio of Dallas-Forth, TX with the support of fans, the N.D.A (Nawf Dallas Association), the Definition DJ’s movement and city-wide show performances. The highly requested single “She Baad” produced by Mr. Cleva forced Doughski G to shoot a video with media man Kang Bear that took the visual to a new level grabbing the attention of O.G. Ron C and DJ HI-C of the ‘Go DJ’s’. The boomerang effect back and forth from Dallas to Houston, TX launched Doughski G’s career into new heights on the super highway to success.

Doughski G continues to keep the streets fed beyond his own projects being featured on numerous songs with other veteran artists while readying the release of his up and coming mixtape ‘Still On It’ and his highly anticipated album ‘Doughski by the Zone’.
