A Big Comeuppance Lyrics

VERSE 1
A big comeuppance is a thing'll bring you down to the ground
A big comeuppance says tonight you won't be wearin' no crown
You never see it coming from nowhere
Especially not no strawberry blonde
A big comeuppance is a thing you have to make it beyondVERSE 2
A big comeuppance is a thing'll put a dent in your today
A big comeuppance is a thing there won't be much you can say
You know it's going to mess up your weekend
However hard you try to pretend
A big comeuppance brings a lot of stuff you'd thought to an endBRIDGE:
I mean to tell you
I mean to tell you
I mean to tell you so;
You might as well you
You might as well you
You might as well now knowVERSE 3
A big comeuppance is a thing that shoots you down from your perch

A big comeuppance says you'll have to reassess your research
She only drove back up here to tell you
Some words she'd been rehearsing I'll bet
A big comeuppance is a thing I guess you won't soon forget
[INSTRUMENTAL SOLO OVER VERSE CHORDS][BRIDGE]
VERSE 4
A big comeuppance is a thing that puts you back in your place
A big comeuppance is a thing that throws some facts in your face
You think you're not gonna let it affect you
It's only what it is 'cause it's true
A big comeuppance is a thing it's not like nothin' you knewVERSE CHORDS TO FADE
