A Change of Heart Lyrics

(Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah)
Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah
A change of heart can take you unaware
You love so long, then suddenly you don't care
For all at once from nowhere
Comes a stranger out of space
And deep inside your heart can't hide
True love and you stand face to face
(Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah)
(Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah)
A change of heart at first seems oh, so wrong
When friends must part, old memories linger on
But now at last I've found you
Oh, my darling, why pretend
A change of heart, a change of heart

Has given you to me, to the journey's end
(Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah)
A change of heart at first seems oh, so wrong
When friends must part, old memories linger on
But now at last I've found you
Oh, my darling, why pretend
A change of heart, a change of heart
Has given you to me, to the journey's end
(Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah)
To the journey’s end
(Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah)
Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah
Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah
Dummy-dum-dummy-dummy-dummy-doh-wah

England during the late '50s had its equivalents to Frankie Avalon and Fabian, teenage boy singers whose sounds were specifically tailored to appeal to the most romantic sides of the young female psyche and not offend their parents. Craig Douglas was one of the better of these and has proved one of the most enduring, still performing more than 40 years after cutting his first record. Born Terry Perkins on the Isle of Wight, he was one of a pair of twins (and those twins were one of three sets among nine children).
