A Life Worth Living Lyrics

To know how to live a life worth living
Picked the story and made the roof
Go together with change daily
For a generation just like me and you
No doubt that we would make it
With the love only the world can hold
And despite all of the odds against us
Harder for the world to let her go
Don't want to let goOh the way it brings the day they came for me, babe
With a love so strong that it took a hurricane
To try to wash away the pain in baby's family
As if they could, as if they would
Feel the pain in losing me
Started out in small town Louisiana
Getting married before seventeen
After waiting on her daddy's promise
Promise turned into a dearest dream
The years filled up with their sin

And the family branches grew
Maybe in Daryl's love was light come shining throughOh the way it brings the day they came for maybe
With a love so strong that it took a hurricane
To try to wash away the pain in maybe's family
As if they could, as if they would
Feel the pain in losing maybeOh I . sprain was nothing
You just feel that friendly creep
And if dying's just like living
It was maybe who took the lead
To live a life worth living
Oh the way it break the day they came for maybe
With a love so strong that it took a hurricane
To try to wash away the pain in maybe's family
As if they could, as if they would

Marc Broussard (born January 14, 1982) is an American singer and songwriter. The Louisiana native released his first major album (with Island Def Jam Records) on August 3, 2004. The album's title Carencro pays tribute to the musician's hometown of Carencro, Louisiana. His style is best described as "Bayou Soul," a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots.

Marc is best known for the songs "Where You Are" and "Home." Broussard previously released several independent efforts, including 2002's Momentary Setback which spawned the hit "The Wanderer", a song about self discovery. A re-worked version of the song appears on Carencro. As of July 2005, "Home" was released as a single.

Although Broussard is rather unknown, he is characteristically known and critically praised for his strong vocals. However, he has garnered an uptick in popularity thanks to a snappy tune "Must Be The Water" which is featured in television commercials on TNT for the 2008 NBA All-Star game held in New Orleans.
