A Sunday Smile (live Kexp radio) Lyrics

All I want is the best for our lives my dear,
And you know my wishes are sincere.
What's to say for the days I cannot bearA Sunday smile you wore it for a while.
A cemetery mile we paused and sang.
A Sunday smile you wore it for a while.
A cemetery mile we paused and sang.
A Sunday smile and we felt true. (and)We burnt to the ground
Left a view to admire
With buildings inside church of white.
We burnt to the ground left a grave to admire.
And as we reach for the sky, reach the church of white.A Sunday smile you wore it for a while.
A cemetery mile we paused and sang.
A Sunday smile you wore it for a while.
A cemetery mile we paused and sang.
A Sunday smile and we felt true. (and)

Beirut is an American indie-rock and world music band which was originally the solo musical project of Zach Condon (born Zachary Francis Condon in Santa Fe, New Mexico) and later expanded into a band. The band's first performances were in New York, in May 2006, to support the release of their debut album, Gulag Orkestar. Condon recorded before Beirut was established: when he was fifteen and under the name of Realpeople, he made an electronic record, fashioned after his love for The Magnetic Fields.
