A Thousand Knives Lyrics

Youve been getting restless;
Scratching at my wall.
Suicidal misfit;
its time you took your fall.Double lives are like a thousand knives;
their cutting into you babe.
It happens to you everyday.I was just a schoolboy;
doing as I please.
Young girls in the classroom;
they was putting on the squeeze.Double lives are like a thousand knives;
They cut into you babe.
It happens to you everyday.Double lives are like a thousand knives;
Listen to what I say.
The time has come for you to pay.Now I wont listen to your two cents;
to run and hide is your only defense
A thousand knives, oh yea.(solo)Now your on the rebound;
you know just how it feels.
A copulated misfit;
with the good housekeeping seal.Ive ducked a lot but like a thousand knives;

Their cutting into you baby.
it happens to you everyday.Now I wont listen to your two cents;
to run and hide is to run into yourself.

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (born December 13, 1948) (aka "The Nuge", "Motor City Madman", "Uncle Ted" or just plain Ted) is a guitarist from Detroit, Michigan.

He originally gained fame as a guitarist for the The Amboy Dukes, a psychedelic rock band from the late 60's best known for their hit "Journey to the Center of Your Mind". In the 70's he went solo and had a string of hits including "Stranglehold", "Free For All", "Dog Eat Dog", "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" and perhaps his best known song "Cat Scratch Fever".

In the 80's he even tried his hand at acting in a haunting episode of television's "Miami Vice". In 1989, he joined Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and Michael Cartellone to form Damn Yankees, which produced 1990's chart toppers "Come Again" for Billboard's #1 and rock ballad "High Enough", backed by a string section in the studio and a popular video, reaching #3 on U.S. Hot 100, and #2 on AOR charts. More recently he has gained fame (and notoriety) for his support of hunting and his conservative political views. He is an important member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He's written four books and released multiple studio albums.

Besides a regular reality type show on cable showcasing Ted's outdoorsman skills, his most recent foray in music was a reality television show SuperGroup that resulted in a band called Damnocracy. The band's other members were Sebastian Bach (formerly of Skid Row), Scott Ian (Anthrax) Jason Bonham ("Bonham", son of Zeppelin's John Bonham) and Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard).

Ted's latest album is titled Love Grenade and was released in 2008.
