A Year from Now Lyrics

I'd like to think that I'm alright
that I'm not empty every night
without your touch to fill me upAnd I don't miss your face
beside me on that pillowcase
but I still do but I won't reach for youA year from now I'll think about the best of times
and not the love we left behind
everytime you cross my mindA year from now I might even smile
when I see your face and you walk in
I don't know where and I sure don't know when
I don't know how I guess we'll see
so just ask me a year from nowMaybe I'll be where you are
and see us as a shooting star
That had to fall and that was allAnd I can finally face the facts
you ain't never coming back
and maybe then maybe we can be just friendsA year from now I'll think about the best of times
and not the love we left behind
everytime you cross my mindA year from now I might even smile
when I see your face and you walk in

I don't know where and I sure don't know when
I don't know how I guess we'll see
so just ask me a year from nowWell a year from now I'll think about the best of times
and not the love we left behind
everytime you cross my mindA year from now I might even smile
when I see your face and you walk in
I don't know where and I sure don't know when
I don't know how I guess we'll see
so just ask me a year from nowYeah I guess we'll see so just ask me
a year from now whoa a year from now
