Born in Oakland,California, Ap9. has been through it all in his life, from murder of both his mother and little brother, to being shot 12 times and his numerous brushes with the law. But Ap.9 has jumped every hurdle and obstacle thrown in his way and is a firm believer that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
He has released albums in the group Mob Figaz, albums with Scoob Nitty and Gonzoe and several solo albums. He has a house in Las Vegas, Nevada where he currently resides. he can also be seen on an episode of A&E's Inked getting his famous ''Mob figaz' tattoo.
