Ado Annie Lyrics

I was waiting for that boy who
Could make me feel like I was on top of Machu Picchu
He'd spin me around and sweep me off my feet
But now I realize there's just so many
So so many boys to meetAnd I don't wanna fall in love...Anymore, priorities have changed for me
With all those fish in the sea
Could be there's time for fun and gamesI am no Snow White in the woods
With a witch on my back, poised for attack
I don't need a prince to rescue me
'Cause I've gone Ado AnnieI was waiting in my tower
Until I figured out I was wasting precious hours
Pulled the ladder down on my fire escape
And my little black book is ready, ready to cultivateAnd I don't wanna fall in love...Anymore, priorities have changed for me
With all those fish in the sea
Could be there's time for fun and gamesI am no Snow White in the woods
With a witch on my back, poised for attack
I don't need a prince to rescue me
'Cause I've gone Ado AnnieWhy should I say no to all the boys I know

Who aren't serious, but don't pretend to be?I want mastery of the art of coquetry
No I don't wanna fall in love...Anymore, priorities have changed for me
With all those fish in the sea
Could be there's time for fun and gamesI am no Snow White in the woods
With a witch on my back, poised for attack
I don't need a prince to rescue me
'Cause I've gone...
I've gone a little Ado Annie, Ado Annie
