Ain't Goin Nowhere Lyrics

If it was a secret
I couldn’t keep from U
U know as well I do
2 keep my feelings 2 myself
I tried 2
But what’s the Use,
when U know Me
U tried 2 show me something different
I wasn’t with the roses & the rhythms
& U came
& U changed Me a lil bit
But when U left
It all felt like some bullshit
I had 2 pull it 2gether
You had your reasons though
& other things in the game
that I didn’t even know
& even though there is a lot

of shit I want 2 forget
All in all
Yo. I have NO regret’s
& I glad what We had was Real
Just in case U wanted 2 know
how I feel….
U don’t have 2 ask me Babe
U know I still care
Don’t have 2 walk past Me, Babe
Like I ain’t there
U don’t have 2 ask yourself
U know just how I feel
My Love ain’t going no where
Who’s right ?
Who’s wrong?
when the night is long?
Fussin & cussin
& the fight is on!
Use weapon of words
Not thinking that Heaven heard us…
Kinda nervous up in Sunday service!
& then We make amends
& we friends again
It’s only right
That we stay tight than the
the skin I’m in
& even if we not together
& We are miles apart
just hearing Your voice brings a smile 2 my heart
Now let me stop b4 I go 2 far
& start thinking Of your touch
my nature Rise,
get a tingle in my nutts
& yep
I want 2 make Love still
Just in case U wanted 2 know
How I feel! How I feel….
U don’t have 2 ask me Babe
U know I still care
Don’t have 2 walk past Me, Babe
Like I ain’t there
U don’t have 2 ask yourself
U know just how I feel
My Love ain’t going no where
No easy problem solved
Isn’t wasn’t all
Peaches & cream
Through out the process
I thought I could teach U some things
Since I am a Veteran of the game
& I been up 2 bat a few
but I retired My jersey
just 2 flatter U
& shattered U with empty promises
that I couldn’t keep
as soon as I went 2 sleep
U started 2 creep
U had your girls night out
I didn’t try 2 regulate
But I couldn’t help but 2 speculate
& try 2 catch a date
Looking back
It’s all cool just A lesson
In fact to go thru it, was a blessing
& If I had the chance 2 do it over again
I will
Just in case U wanted 2 know how I feel!
U don’t have 2 ask me Babe
U know I still care
Don’t have 2 walk past Me, Babe
Like I ain’t there
U don’t have 2 ask yourself
U know just how I feel
My Love ain’t going no where
(x’s3) till ending!

Devin the Dude is a Houston-area rapper. Though relatively well-known among the underground hip-hop community during the mid-to-late 90's, Devin did not achieve mainstream success until his appearance on Dr. Dre's 2001 album. Besides sex, relationships, ridin' trucks, smokin' reefer, drinkin' beer, partying, and conscious or proverbial themes, much of Devin's work is also light-hearted and comically self-deprecating.

Copeland started out as a member of the Odd Squad, later known as the Coughee Brothaz, a group of rappers signed to Rap-A-Lot Records. The label is notable for being the home of hip-hop artists such as Geto Boys, Scarface, and Too Much Trouble. Copeland moved on to become part of Scarface's Facemob, before going solo in 1998.[1] Copeland has released six solo albums: The Dude (1998), Just Tryin' ta Live (2002), To tha X-Treme (2004), Waitin' to Inhale (2007), Landing Gear (2008), and Gotta Be Me (2010). He also made a number of guest appearances, including on Dr. Dre's "Fuck You" in 1999, and De La Soul's "Baby Phat" in 2001.[1]

In 2008, he ended his 15 year relationship with Houston based Rap-A-Lot Records because the label failed to renew his contract.[2] Later that year, he signed with indie label Razor & Tie.[3]

Despite being a critical success, Devin the Dude has not achieved success in the mainstream but continues to be a well-known underground hip-hop artist. The New York Times has called him "A brilliant oddball with a spaced-out flow."[4] In addition, he has been called "Rap's best-kept secret" and "Your favorite rapper's favorite rapper."[5] In 2007, he appeared in a documentary titled Screwed In Houston produced by VBS/Vice Magazine that details the history of the Houston rap scene.
