Ain't No Slave Lyrics

Take me far, far away
To a foreign, a foreign land
Take me from, from my mother
Warm and love, love and hateTreat me like I'm a dog
Kick me around all day long
Tie me down, down and chain
Beat me like I'm a slave
I'm a slaveCause my skin, skin is black
in my back, back is strong
Keep me on, on a boat
that is where I belong
I am good, good for nothing
Just a dog, dog of fool
Made your pick, pick your card
You make all, all the rules
All the rulesDon't pay me no damn mind
if you see, see me cry
These are not, not real tears

Just water from my eyesAin't got no name, ain't got no voice
Don't feel no pain, ain't got no choice
Ain't no man, ain't no man
I'm a slave, so I amSo I am
All I got, all I have my sweat, blood,
And tears 'n prayers
When I'm dead, dead and gone
Tell my people not to moan
Take me far, far away into a foreign, a foreign land
And when I'm dead, in my grave
At least I ain't, I ain't no slave
I ain't no slaveAnd all I got, all I have my sweat, blood,
And tears 'n prayers
When I'm dead, dead and gone
Tell my people not to moanTake me far, far away into a foreign a foreign land
And when I'm dead, resting in my grave
At least I ain't, I ain't no slave
