Air & Angels Lyrics

You say phone me every day or I might forget you
I'm Aquarius, you know we've got that way about us
And don't smile like that pretty, it doesn't flatter you
A kaleidoscopic fight, all fits and sparks
And I am not scared of you now
Schizophrenic chick like a shark ate your ego
And I'm home with myself, I don't need you
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
Now I'm free
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
Now I'm free
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
You say, "Dry your fake tears" and
"Paint your chipped blue nails"

I've got too many imperfections
And a thousand more secrets
(Yeah)
To keep or tell depending on how drunk I get
On a lonely night I can confess all
But you're better off with some other Miss. Perfect
Who doesn't fuss or fight and
Who doesn't have a dark side
But I'm just doing fine I've found myself
I don't care about you
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
And now I'm free
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
And now I'm free
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
Schizophrenic chick like a shark ate your ego
She ain't playing your game
(I float with the air and angels)
I don't need you, I don't want you
It's a shame
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
And now I'm free
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
Now I'm free
(La la la)
I, I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
There's nothing you can say to me
(La la la)
'Cos I'm over and above you, baby
(La la la)
There's nothing you can say to me
Nothing you can say to me
(La la la)
'Cos I'm over and above you, baby
I float with the air
(La la la)
I float with the air
I float with the air
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
I, I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)
I float with the air and angels
(La la la)

Alisha's Attic was a British musical group of the 1990s and 2000s. Its two members were Shelly Poole and Karen Poole, sisters born in Essex. Their father is Brian Poole of Brian Poole And The Tremeloes, a 1960s band.
Alisha's Attic were discovered by Dave Stewart (of Eurythmics) after they sent him a demo tape recorded at home. Impressed, Mercury Records Managing Director Howard Berman signed the girls. They had been trying to get a record contract for nine years.
If one discounts the sisters' teenage material recorded as Keren & Chelle, Karen and Shelly's recording career began with the single "I Am, I Feel", a hit in the UK, and this was quickly followed by their debut album Alisha Rules the World in November 1996. They went on to release two more albums. Mercury then chose not to take up the option for a fourth album, and the girls went their separate ways in 2003.

Karen has been writing tracks for well-known artists including Lilly Allen, Janet Jackson, Sugababes, Chase And Status, Amy Studt, Kylie Minogue and Jamelia. She is currently devloping a duo simular to Alisha's Attic called Babydrum signed to Columbia/Sony. They are due to release in 2011.

Shelly released a solo album, Hard Time for the Dreamer, early in 2005. Shelly has also written material for Janet Jackson and appears on Michael Gray's "Borderline". In late 2008, she formed the alternative country band Red Sky July, with Ally McErlaine, and Charity Hair from The Alice Band. She is currently signed to Gary Barlow's publishing company San Remo Live.
