Alabaster Lyrics

AlabasterOnce upon a time you were on my side
We'd slay the opposition with triumphant cry
Like king and queen we ruled it all
Stuck it out through rise and fall
Once upon a time you were on my sideDrink it up
Fill your cup
A face as white as Alabaster
With blood that flows a little fasterA thief amongst the people as they take my side
You stole the jewel they guarded with a jealous pride
Like king and queen we ruled it all
Stuck it out through rise and fall
Once upon a time they were on your side
Drink it up
Fill your cup
A face as white as Alabaster
With blood to turn upon its masterThese little secrets do betray you see
Written in the creases of the smile you flash at meA sip of sullied promises
Bring me the head of happiness dead

You know I love a happy ending
But your straight talk just keeps on bending
You leave a trail of your addiction
When all that binds us now is friction
The wolves and the witches are in your bed
As the ghouls and the goblins crawl in my head
The wolves and the witches are in your bed
As the ghouls and the goblins crawl in my head
Drink it up
Fill your cup
A face as white as Alabaster
Oh can't you drink a little faster? These little secrets do betray you see
Written in the creases of the smile you flash at me
When giving me excuses that you think I still believe
