Alice Mae Lyrics

If you see my baby,
They call her Alice Mae,
If you see my baby,
They call her Alice Mae,
Tell all them fellas,
They'd better stay away.
My woman she love me,
She sure do treat me bad,
My woman she love me,
She sure do treat me bad,
Mess with my woman,
I have to take your life,
She fix my breakfast
She bring it to my bed,
She fix my breakfast,
She bring it to my bed,
I love that woman,
Till the doctor pronounced she's dead,

Tell all them fellas
In this here neighborhood
Tell all them fellas
In this here neighborhood
Mess with my woman
And a doctor can do you no good
Mess with my woman
And a doctor can do you no good
Mess with my woman
And a doctor can do you no good

He played music for much of his life, but did not receive much attention until the early 1990s. In the latter half of the 1990s, Burnside repeatedly recorded with Jon Spencer, garnering crossover appeal and introducing his music to a new fanbase within the underground garage rock scene.
