All Alone with Something to Say Lyrics

Like a heartbeat, timing is everything
I took a look at love when love looked away
How cruel is it that fate has to find me
All alone with something to sayI've been thinking, tweaking, and rethinking
All the things that I would tell you someday
I can hear it while I'm sitting here
All alone with something to sayI wanna tell you I love you
I wanna tell you I'm sorry
I'm sorryI should be writing a column to the people
On how not to let your love life slip away
It would be clever, witty, and titled
All alone with something to sayI wanna tell you I love you
I wanna tell you I'm sorry
I'm sorryAll the nuggets of gold on my tongue
Pearls of wisdom coming in waves
How cruel is it that fate has to find me
All alone with something to say
All alone with something to say

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
