All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name Lyrics

got me up all night all im singing is love songs
got me up all night
back then there was college kid big man on campus runnin all of it
started seeing around all clubs boss and shit red chucks and jeans all too cool to be bothered with
damn you on a power trip
and you knew you could have me if you wanted cause I already dropped the hint
so you were playing hard to get
knew the game so i played along with it
knew the game didnt dropped the ball with it
knew the way i had to get involved with it
i knew you werent falling for that drama shit
so i played it cool sat back and called my shit
then i see my song ended
my thing we can hold with me
and we got together i never felt better
we'll face any weather

Joseph Spence (August 3, 1910, Andros, Bahamas - March 18, 1984, Nassau, Bahamas) was a Bahamian guitarist and singer.
He is well known for his vocalizations and humming while performing on guitar. Several American musicians, including Taj Mahal, The Grateful Dead, Ry Cooder, Woody Mann and Olu Dara, in addition to the British guitarist John Renbourn, were influenced by and have recorded variations of his arrangements of gospel and Bahamian songs. The earliest recordings of Joseph Spence were made on Spence's porch by folk musicologist Samuel Charters.
