All We’ve Ever Known Lyrics

The winter's wrappin' around your throat
Hit our life with a terrifying force and style
Never wrong, never grown
And all alone... all alone...It's alright, it's all you've ever known
All alone, just hidden in the cold
It's alright, it's all you'll ever knowWinter's wrappin' around your throat
In our life it's the only terrifying force you know
With all your feelings I inspired
I know that I am scared more
All alone, we'll shiver in the cold
It's alright, it's all you've ever known
It's alright, it's all you'll ever knowBack and forth time, we are terrified
Just that band around the wrist
Convincing your whole life
Back and forth time, we are terrified
Just that band around the wrist
Convincing you you're homeAhhhhh...The winter's wrappin' around your throat
Now our life is a terrified ghost realized

In dusty corner, sleepy eyed
For all she knows she's on her own
It's alright, she's all you've ever known
All alone, she's captured in the cold
It's alright, she's all you've ever knownAhhhhh...

Toronto-based trio The Rural Alberta Advantage (Nils Edenloff, Amy Cole, and Paul Banwatt) play indie-rock songs about hometowns and heartbreak, born out of images from growing up in Central and Northern Alberta. They sing about summers in the Rockies and winters on the farm, ice breakups in the spring time and the oil boom’s charm, the mine workers on compressed, the equally depressed, the city’s slow growth and the country’s wild rose, but mostly the songs just try to embrace the advantage of growing up in Alberta.
