All the Way to Kingdom Come Lyrics

We didn't know
What love was 'til He came
And He gave love a face
And He gave love a name
And He gave love away
Like the sky gives the rain and the sunWe were looking for heroes
He came looking for the lost
We were searching for glory
And He showed us a cross
Now we know what love is
'Cause He loves usThe way to kingdom come
All the way
The way to kingdom comeLove is a miracle
It's a miracle if you can find it
Miracles are hard to come by
These days, these daysBut the sweet Lord Jesus
He's a miracle man
He's got holes in His feet

In His side, in His hands
And if you ask for love
Love pours through them
Like a ray of light, like a raging blazeWe didn't know
What love was 'til He came
And He gave love a face
And He gave love a name
And He gave love away
Like the sky gives the rain and the sunWe were looking for heroes
He came looking for the lost
We're searching for glory
And He showed us a cross
Now we know what love is
'Cause He loves usThe way to kingdom come
All the way
The way to kingdom comeLife is a mystery
It's a mystery, that we're all live in
This world is so fragile
And we're so frail, so frailYeah, with the sweet Lord Jesus
His mysterious heart
Keeps the life-blood pumping
At the center of it all
If He let go of us, we'd all blow apart
But He holds on tight, His love don't failWe didn't know what love wasWe didn't know
What love was 'til He came
And He gave love a face
And He gave love a name
And He gave love away
Like the sky gives the rain and the sunWe were looking for heroes
He came looking for the lost
We were searching for glory
And He showed us a cross
Now we know what love is
'Cause He loves usThe way to kingdom come
All the way
The way to kingdom come
All the way, all the way
The way to kingdom come

Richard Wayne Mullins (October 21, 1955 – September 19, 1997) was an American Christian music singer and songwriter born in Richmond, Indiana. On September 19, 1997, Rich Mullins and his friend Mitch McVicker were traveling on I-39 north of Bloomington, Illinois to a benefit concert in Wichita, Kansas when his Jeep flipped over. They were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle. When a passing semi-trailer truck swerved to avoid the Jeep, Mullins, who was too injured to move out of the way, was hit by the truck and died instantly. McVicker was badly injured but survived.
