Almost Real Lyrics

I looked deep into your eyes
Saw men lying broken
Shattered at the bottom of your well
Sent them packing straight to hell
You took their simple affection
Turned it into bad infection
Reality threatens you
I see what sweats you
You can't hide yourself from me
Canine men
Fighting, lying, trying to be the one
When you see the one that sees through you - It's meI see them lined up like broken heroes
That gets to feel your touch
Spitting out pieces of their broken luck
Because to me it never meant that much
I guess I've got good sense and hindsightWhen you see the one that laughs at you - It's me
Wasted time spent thinking about you
You know I've come to hate myself

Smashing my hands against the wall
Trying to forget the foolish way I felt
You're so kind when it serves you wellYour cruelty
No more trying
No more lying
No more messing around with my mindI'm going, I'm gone
You must think I'm blind
Because now I see you
You won't find my arms around you
When you need those arms around youWhen you see the one that sees through you
When you see the one that laughs at you - It's me

Rollins Band was an alternative metal/post-hardcore band formed in 1987 in Van Nuys, California. Henry Rollins put the Rollins Band together, in Van Nuys, California, United States, after his previous band, the hardcore outfit Black Flag, broke up in 1986. "Borrowing" the rhythm section of former Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn's experimental instrumental band, Gone, their sound is very similar to Black Flag's latter direction, playing aggressive rock with punk influences, beginning with their first release Life-Time in 1987.
