Alone in the World (Acoustic) Lyrics

Alone in the world
I'm alone in the world tonight
And nobody's listening to me
But it feels alrightScraping a stick 'long a fence
In the thinning twilight
Falling in love with a face
In the foyer that's screaming by'Cause I'm alone in the world tonight
Dancing with a traffic light
Looking for a dream but I
Come and get no reply
I'm alone in the world tonight
Well I hear the music
The sound of the distant drum beat
I ollie the curb and I skate along 17th street'Cause somewhere a girl's trying on yet another outfit
And somewhere a party is starting
But I can't get into it'Cause I'm alone in the world tonight
Dancing with a traffic light
Looking for a dream but I

Come and get no replyAnd I'm screaming as loud as I can
'Cause I'm alone in the world tonightWhen I hear the music
The sound of the distant drum beat
It's just like the sound of my wheels
On the cracks in the sidewalk at my feet
'Cause I'm alone in the world tonight
Dancing with a traffic light
Looking for a dream but I
Come and get no replyAnd I'm screaming as loud as I can
'Cause I'm alone in the world tonight
I'm alone in the world tonight

Everybody Else is a Los Angeles-based power-pop and rock band consisting of Carrick Moore Gerety (lead vocals/guitar) and Austin James Williams (bass/vocals). Their name comes from a The Kinks B-side ("I'm Not Like Everybody Else").

Their self-titled debut album was released under The Militia Group in April 3, 2007, followed by a tour with bands such as Over It, Higher, Hanson and Self Against City. Their debut album was quickly followed by an acoustic version entitled 1 1/2 and an EP called Gold Noise which were both released in 2008.

Their sophomore album, called Wanderlust, was released in 2011 after the band succeeded in raising enough money through Kickstarter to actually produce the album.
