Along the Way - aave

Aave is a two-man black metal/dark ambient band from Seinäjoki, Finland, formed in the summer of 2009. The band consists of Calamity (Vocals, Drums) and Athils (Guitar, Bass, Synthesizer, Vocals).

The primary goal of Aave is to create honest, extreme music in these times of corporate music and mass-production. All the instruments and vocals are recorded in one take and mistakes are not edited out, for the songs serve as a picture of that particular moment. Their lyrical themes involve Nordic mythology, Old pagan ways, nature in general, and rejection of the modern world we live in.

Aave is influenced by such artists as Burzum, Emperor, Darkthrone, Dead Can Dance and on the other hand high fantasy books like the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and ''A Song of Ice and Fire'' by George R.R. Martin.
