Alpha Lyrics

Hopeless in deep space
You made us wait like you used to
I was an utter disgrace
You made us sing hallelujah
And now it's all gone
Every time we tried
We cannot pity, we cannot stand around
Nervous for the hope we ache to find
Every time we tried
Which one are you?
Two sides of a coin
Taking pride in plenty of good advice
Win or lose our minds
In a picture, perfect
Every time we've tried

Nervous for the hope we ache to find
(We cannot pity, we cannot stand around)
Every time we tried
(Every time we tried)
(Every time we tried)
We've got to say
All feelings aside
Every new life rises
We all build together
(We all see your call)
Win or lose our minds
Win or lose our minds
In a picture, perfect
Every time I tried
Break the mold
Let's shake the ground
Wreak havoc
We all strike a match
And burn this ordinary life
When the sun rises high
You'd best pray you're the better man
We've all gotta take to the wall soon
Or break free or burn it to the ground
This ain't no ordinary life

Karnivool is a five-piece progressive rock group based in Perth, Australia that was formed by Ian Kenny in 1996, who at the time filled the roles of both guitarist and vocalist for the band while they played Carcass and Nirvana covers. Their name stems from the band being initially described by local fans as "a bunch of clowns". Their style of music can be classified as both progressive rock and alternative rock, with alternative metal undertones. Major influences of the band are Nirvana, Radiohead, Meshuggah, Pink Floyd, Tool, Soundgarden and Carcass.
