Altar Girl Lyrics

She was shake-shake-shake-shake-shakin' her hips
And I've been bite, I've been bite, I've been bitin' my lip
Why don't you have yourself a drink?
Well I guess I guess we just need a little more time to think
Don't take my name, don't take my place
Little girl says she's scared to lose her faith
Don't take my name, don't take my place
Little girl says she's scared to lose her faith
She has eyes that could cut like a razorblade
Books and bibles read but they never save
Little girl work your hands down like a slave
I said, don't take my name don't take my place
Don't take my name, don't take my place
Little girl says she's scared to lose her faith
Don't take my name, don't take my place

Little girl says she's scared to lose her faith
My little altar girl I wait for you tonight
When I sit alone you know, I'll be right by your side
My little altar girl I wait for you tonight
When I sit alone you know, I'll be right by your side
My little altar girl I wait for you tonight
When I sit alone you know, I'll be right by your side
My name
My place
My name
My place
My name
Yes my name and my place
Yes my name and my place
My name my place
Yes my name and my place
Yes my name and my place

The Weeks are an indie rock band originally from Jackson, Mississippi. The band was formed by Cain Barnes, Chaz Lindsay, Cyle Barnes, Damien Bone, and Samuel Williams in March of 2006 when they were between 14 and 16 years old. The band signed to the Esperanza Plantation label, with the debut album, Comeback Cadillac, released in July 2008. The album blended southern rock and alternative.
A second album, Rumspringa, followed in 2009. After some lineup changes that left them with a four piece of the Barnes twins, Bone and Williams, the band relocated to Nashville, TN.
